Empowered Therapy Support

I help people who struggle with

  • Self acceptance, identity affirmation, and setting boundaries with external expectations
  • Cultivating and maintaining aligned, emotionally safe relationships

To become

  • Knowing of and accepting of you as you define you, so you can move through life authentically as yourself and who you are becoming, regardless of external/societal expectations
  • Creators of relationships (with yourself and the people you surround yourself with) where you are mutually celebrated and honoured for who you are.
  • Clear about what is and is not in your control so you can respond to things that are not in your control in more empowered and preferred ways

By providing intersectional, decolonizing, anti-oppressive*, & trauma-informed therapy support

  • As a Black woman and a trained relational and systemic therapist, this is at the core of who I am and the work I do.

 *Anti-racist, anti-xenophobic, anti-queer-/bi-/homo-/trans-phobic, anti-ableist, anti-sexist, anti-fatphobic, anti-capitalist, etc

Liberate yourself from fears of being seen, taking up space, not being accepted, making "wrong" decisions, and being vulnerable. Become empowered to build connections and align yourself with the things and people that honour your wellbeing, values, and the person you are becoming.

What my clients share in common:

Do any of these resonate?

If so, I might be the therapist for you.

Here's the thing...

Whether you come individually or as a part of a relationship or family system, the commonality among those who seek therapy is a desire to bridge the gap between current experience and preferred experience. The journey however, is unique.

Maybe you've tried to DIY it in the past and now consider that having the support of a trained professional might make all the difference. Perhaps you are hoping to connect with someone with a similar lived experience. Whatever your particular circumstance is, you are taking the bold steps to be supported along this journey.

Where do I come in?

I am here to walk alongside you through this often overwhelming and seldomly linear process of therapy. At the very least, I am here to hold space for you to show up in ways that are true to your identity intersectionalities and your experiences ,and listen to your story with empathy.

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.

AS A THERAPIST...

I see therapy as a space where your voices, identities, experiences, and innate strengths are affirmed and explored. I aim to cultivate a space where you feel safe enough to share your story, engage in honest reflection, and journey on your preferred way of being.

My approach is grounded in my values around authenticity, collaboration, and the therapist-client(s) relationship. I believe clients possess an innate expertise in their personal experiences- my role is to help you recognise and harness these strengths in ways that align with you, your desires, and contexts.
